Description
This book is based on the importance of ‘connection and being in the present’ in a parent/child or adult/child relationship; the sharing of wisdom. It is the central core of our ability to having great and flourishing relationships before we can move forward. It all starts from the time of conception. Attachment and connection begins in the womb and continues through pregnancy and the child’s journey in the world. There is still an opportunity to reconnect or recover relationships that are strained, separated, or splintered in this challenging and changing world – a world where we are seeing more detachment or disconnection in parent/child relationships. There are great possibilities to improve and heal relationships if we simply communicate and find different ways to work together. Father and son, Greg and Jarod Bridge have each shared their own life’s views, combining them to highlight the value, purpose and meaning within their relationship. They have had their challenges along the way, but understand the value in connection, and realising some relationships are worth fighting for. For far too long, a great deal of parents’ focus and attitudes toward children have been on meeting social and community requirements through outdated disciplining styles. Instead, we suggest focusing on connection through positivity and trust. Conscious language use, meaningful action, and being ‘in the present’ is more important than ever. How well do you know your child or your parents? Now is the time to reconnect!
